Results – 2025 AusCycling WA State Cyclocross Championships

Sunday 3 August 2024

Garvey Park, Ascot

A day that will go down in history. The rain. The hail. The freezing temperatures. The wind. And the unrelenting mud!

We salute all the riders, spectators, support crews and photographers who took to Garvey Park for the 2025 AusCycling WA State Cyclocross Championships. You battled some of the wildest weather we’ve ever had at a WACX event. What a spectacular and memorable way to cap off the 2025 WACX racing season.

Both of last year’s Elite WA State CX Champions returned in 2025 to retain their crowns. Congratulations to Zoe Davison and Tristan Nash for taking out the Elite Female and Elite Male championship events, respectively. Both riders will be heading to the 2025 AusCycling Cyclo-cross National Championships in Ballarat, Victoria in two weeks time to cap off a spectacular Aussie race season. Nash will also be heading to Europe in September to take on the European cyclocross season.

A time to reflect and remember

It was a bitter-sweet moment for WACX at the conclusion of the day’s racing. Stuart Carson is stepping back from race organising duties after a decade of heading up the WACX committee. His contributions have been huge and none of the racing over the past ten years would have taken place without his support. Stu will still be around next season, but you might see him out on the race course instead of in the timing tent. We’re looking forward to cheering Stu on next season.

2025 was also a sad time for some in the WACX community. Long-time WACX racer, Todd Ingraham, sadly passed away on 12 June 2025 after a battle with Motor Neuron Disease. His partner, Tina, and her children, were on hand at the race to present the inaugural WACX Numbat Cup Men’s Masters B True Grit Trophy, awarded to the rider who shows courage and determination throughout the WACX season. This year’s honour went to Julian Atkinson.

A huge thank you to the WACX community

No WACX season runs without the incredible support of the community. From people donating cycling clothing throughout the season so it can be used by our up-and-coming junior riders, to coming down at 8am on race day to help setup the course that we all get to race on, the contributions that each and every person makes to WACX creates an atmosphere that’s the envy of most other sporting clubs.

We’d also like to thank our sponsors for their generous support throughout the 2025 season. This includes our Numbat Cup naming-rights sponsor, Liquor Barons, as well as Mayeur Cycling Apparel, Wembley Cycles, Twin Peaks Coffee Roasters, Otherside Brewing Co and Melody Wheels .

Results

The rain and mud were not kind to the electronic timing gear. So please let us know if you see any anomalies in the results and we’ll get them sorted out.
