Sunday 29th August 2021
Iho Park, South Guildford
A great day out at Iho Park for the last race of the Numbat Cup season. It was a picturesque and interesting course with a plenty of mud, bumps, punchy climbs and leg-burning and energy-sapping straights.
Congratulations to Tristan Nash who won the final race of the season (and a clean sweep of season races) to claim his first ever Numbat Cup Men’s Elite season trophy. Zoe Davison won the biccies in the final women’s elite race for the season, but Vanessa Johnson was a deserving winner of the Numbat Cup Women’s Elite season trophy with her consistent performances at all races.
This race concludes the Numbat Cup season for 2021, but there will be a country CX race in Beverley on the Saturday 9th of October. We encourage you all to stay in Beverley on the Saturday night and make a weekend of it with your WACX family. We also have the Graeme Brown GravelCross that will return to Gloucester Park for a night race on Saturday 13th of November. Please keep your Numbat Cup season race numbers for these final 2 events of the year.
Links to the published albums of the photographers that were in attendance at the race can be found below. You’ll also find these, and a range of other race photos and videos, posted on the WA Cyclocross Facebook group.
