Beverley CX - 2021

Saturday 9th October 2021

Town of Beverley, WA

CX in the wheatbelt – Beverley turned it on again.

A small posse of riders enjoyed a weekend away to experience the unique and charming course that Beverley offers – riding through stables, the pony club, pea gravel & the grotto – with plenty of challenges.

Congrats to Peter Butt & Simone McCallum who were crowned the Southern Hemisphere Single Speed CX champions.

A massive thanks to the entire Nash family, the Carson clan & Ian ‘tugger’ Trayler who set up the course – always a tough gig as all poles need to be drilled in. And to Chris Davison, Pat Jones & the Nash’s who had the course packed away before anyone had woken up on Sunday morning.

Rumour has it that Beverley may be on the cards as a Numbat Cup round in 2022 – it’s definitely worth the day trip (or an overnighter if you want to extend the fun).

There is one more WACX event on the 13th of November – Graeme Brown Gravel Cross, which will be held under lights at Gloucester Park. This is the ideal event for new riders to try cx, so pop the date in your diary.
