National Cyclocross Series Coming to Perth in 2023

We’re excited to announce that Perth will be hosting Round 1 and Round 2 of the AusCycling National Cyclocross Series in 2023.

Racing is set to take place on the weekend of 20 – 21 May at the home of WA Cyclocross, Garvey Park in Ascot.

The racing will be hosted under the banner of Perth Mountain Bike Club and run by the WA Cyclocross community.

The awarding of the inaugural rounds of the 2023 National Cyclocross Series (NCXS) is a show of confidence in the strong cyclocross community that exists within WA cycling. It’s a testament to the hard work that goes on behind the scenes every year from the volunteers at WACX, and also to everyone who has pinned a number on and got between the tape since cyclocross racing started in Perth in 2011.

Those with a good memory may remember that Perth last hosted Round 3 and Round 4 of the National Series back in 2014 at Midvale SpeedDome and Garvey Park.

Make sure you block out the weekend of 20 – 21 May 2023 as it’s going to be epic! And even better, it’s one week after the SEVEN gravel race, so you can use all that fitness from SEVEN to compete for medals in the National CX Series!

There will be racing for everyone, including Juniors, Masters, Expert and Elite.

Keep an eye on the WACX socials on Facebook and Instagram for further updates as they come to hand.

And don’t forget to sign up to the WACX e-news so you never miss a pedal stroke.
