Results – 2024 Liquor Barons Numbat Cup Round 2

Sunday 19 May 2024

Fishmarket Reserve, Guildford

Racers were greeted with warm and very dry conditions, a far cry from the slick and muddy conditions we experienced during the 2023 Numbat Cup Series race that was held at this venue.

The course featured a mixture of grass, sand, pea gravel and some little steep pinches that required both power and finesse to master. Over 200 (208 in total) riders took part in the day’s racing, including 69 kids!

As always, the course builders arrived at 8am to prep the course. Course builder Ashley Williams linked together all the best parts of the Fishmarket Reserve trails to ensure all riders had a great time between the tape.

The racing was fast and frenetic as the tight and twisting course claimed a few casualties. We saw at least a few flat tyres. And the tree next to the sand and root covered mound took a bite out of one of the Men’s Elite riders. If you take a look through Stack Art Photography’s snaps from the race, you might just catch up glimpse of this moment!

In the Women’s Elite race, Zoe Davison emerged victorious followed by Mikayla Smith and Tracey Chapman. Tristan Nash took the top spot in Men’s Elite, with Lewis Blackie and Oliver James rounding out the podium.

A big thank you to all the volunteers, sponsors and organisers who made this event possible. We look forward to seeing you all at the next round of the 2024 Liquor Barons Numbat Cup Series from Lake Gwelup Reserve on 9 June.
