Results – 2023 Liquor Barons Numbat Cup Round 2

Sunday 7 May 2023

Fishmarket Reserve, Guildford

We had a record number of people racing at Round 2 of the Numbat Cup at Fishmarket Reserve. There was a great vibe at the event, with lots of spectators and hecklers making the most of watching the riders negotiate the twisting and fast course. Everyone was especially happy as we had Larissa’s Lattes coffee van keeping everyone caffeinated and fed.

Thanks to all our sponsors who donated prizes for our podium placers – the smiles on the riders’ faces were great to see!

Do not forget to register for Round 1 and Round 2 of the 2023 National Cyclocross Series (NCXS) that we will be hosting at Garvey Park on 20 – 21 May (that’s less than two weeks away!). Racing will take place at the spiritual home of WACX, Garvey Park in Ascot. And the weekend is not just for the riders. Spectators are in for a treat too. A popup bar from the team at Nowhereman Brewing Co will keep everyone well hydrated. We’ll also have Driftwood Mobile Café and Oishii Modern Japanese Street Food on hand to satisfy your hunger for a good feed.

And don’t be daunted that our next 2 races are part of the NCXS. Participation and rider enjoyment are at the heart of CX racing. The NCXS is designed to encourage participation and recognise individual rider achievement, so riders of all abilities are encouraged to get involved. We’d love to see you all there representing WA on the national stage.
