2020 Numbat Cup Beverley Heroic CX race start

Those who made the trip to Beverley for the final round of the Numbat Cup were not disappointed. The wheatbelt town offers a unique and interesting course incorporating the pony club stables, bushland pump tracks and this year saw some challenging sections of pea gravel thrown in the mix.

The biggest challenge of the day is always the course setup – a huge thank you to the Nash and Carson families, including kids, and Liam Macsok who worked all morning to get the course ready for racing. Due to the hardness of the Beverley soil, every pole needed to be drilled in. It was a mammoth task – your generosity of spirit is appreciated.

This event brought a close to our Numbat Cup Series for 2020, with Tom Ford and Anjii Coleman crowned our Elite Men’s and Elite Women’s champions respectively. It also saw our single speed riders battle it out for the South of the Equator SSCX Championship. Congratulations to Peter Butt and Kate Swain for taking out their respective titles.

Steuart Carson – we all thank you for everything you do to make these events happen. It is a time consuming and often thankless hobby, but your passion and dedication is valued.

Results for all races are below. Thanks Greg Macsok for your assistance with timing this season – we have the chip timing sussed now (well done Stu on the research and numerous trials that went into this).
