SuperCross never disappoints and brings a smile to all riders faces!
Despite the weather gods raining on our parade, we still had record numbers of participants for any SuperCross event, from 1-year-old racers right through to Masters all braving the wet and windy conditions. And what a wicked course – one of the best SuperCross courses yet.
This event also saw our Elite riders racing for State Championship Glory. Congratulations to Anjii Coleman who took out the women’s title over Teneal Attard & Zoe Davison. Guy Kalma was crowned the State Champion over Tom Ford and Tristan Nash in the men’s event.
As always, a huge shout out to ALL the volunteers who built the course on Friday, Greg Macsok who stepped up to be the timing guru on the night and Nilss “RooDog” Johnstone & Tanya L’Estrelle-Adcock who ran the rego tent on the evening. And Steuart Van der Caarson for the mammoth amount of work that goes into organising the event at the Showgrounds. Chapeau to all involved!
Next race is at Garvey Park (the home of WACX) on Sunday 30th August. This will also be Ladies Day, so let’s encourage all of our female friends to get amongst it – CX bike, mountain bike, any bike – we just want all the ladies out there showing how it’s done!
And don’t forget that the WACX Online Store is now open for business! We’ve got limited edition SuperCross 2020 tees for sale, along with WACX tees, hoodies and zip hoodies. Orders placed by Tuesday 18th August should be ready to be picked up from the next round of the Numbat Cup on Sunday 30th August – so get your orders in now!
Here’s a sample of the clothing available:
