Claremont Showgrounds, Claremont
Feature photo snapped by Aloysius Parker Photography
Another fabulous night of racing under lights at the Claremont Showgrounds on a new, exciting and fast course.
To all who set up the course, carried barriers, swung a mallet, taped the poles, worked in racer registration on the night, timing, announcing & climbed ladders to break into office windows to access light controls – we can’t thank-you enough. WACX is only possible due to our volunteers – we appreciate your support and generosity of spirit.
Thanks also the the numerous spectators who heckled, cheered, played music, took photos & rang bells and sirens to create a great race atmosphere (and paid $5 entry without being hassled to do so!)
If you enjoyed the SuperCross event, we encourage you to show your gratitude by popping on your raincoat and coming to join us at 9am Sunday morning for course pull-down. With enough support it will take no time and then you can go and enjoy a post race brekky and coffee with a warm fuzzy feeling knowing that you’ve contributed to the sport you love.
If you want to get an idea for what it’s like at the pointy end of the Men’s Elite field, check out the below video posted by race winner Tristan Nash.
