In the most exciting news since The Swinging Pig shouted the entire bar a free drink when Mark McGowan showed his face at Rockingham’s favourite watering hole, the Western Australian cyclocross racing season is about to get underway! Our full 2020 race calendar can be found here. This will continue to be updated as new information comes to hand.
First race of the season
While the 2020 racing season is a little shorter than in previous years, it’s still packed with some great events at some of our favourite venues. It all kicks off with Race 1 of the Liquor Barons Numbat Cup Series on Sunday 19 July at Guildford Meadows.
Close to the city, this venue is a great opener to the season as it offers a wide open space for the course to be laid out. With only small elevation changes and the chance of a bit of mud on the course, it’s ideal for those new to cyclocross while also testing the skills and power of our more experiences cross riders.
