Perry Lakes Reserve, Floreat
Cross is back in the west!
It was so great to see old faces, new faces & T-Rex faces! Plenty of suffering in between the tape, but post race smiles were huge.
Big fields with record numbers – 30+ new riders, just under 40 kids and a huge senior field sets the scene for a terrific season of cross in WA.
A big thank you goes out to all the volunteers that helped ensure the racing ran smoothly. The course builders setup the course in record time – one hour! And our friends in the rego tent ensured that everyone got their race numbers and timing for each race ran smoothly.
Importantly and finally, thanks to the Town of Cambridge for the use of the Garden Park (areas 5 & 6) at Perry Lakes Reserve. If everyone who raced can take five minutes and send a quick email thanking them for allowing us to race there, that would be much appreciated – [email protected].
Well done to all the first timers. We hope you enjoyed yourself and are looking forward to seeing you learn and improve throughout the season.
The next race in on Saturday 9th April under lights at Gloucester Park in East Perth. It will be a spectacle and different to the usual Graeme Brown Gravel Cross race that’s held around November each year. So, if you are curious, jump on board when we roll out the entry form in the coming days.
