Perry Lakes Reserve, Floreat

A lovely day of sunshine at Perry Lakes for round 5 of the Numbat Cup. The course surprisingly showed no signs of the heavy rains that had hit the burbs earlier in the week and riders faced a fast and flowy grass track.
Tristan Nash and Teneal Attard continued their domination in the Elite races and there was good racing with strong sprint finishes across all grades. Kudos to the first time riders who bravely put on a number to have a crack – we hope the smiles will see you return for more fun.
Thanks to our fabulous team of course builders who knocked the course up in record time and to everyone who pitched in on pack-down to make the course disappear in the blink of an eye.
Tanya L’Estrelle-Adcock and Mandy McEvoy – a huge thanks for your assistance in the rego tent and getting all new racers into the computing system – this is such a huge help.
If you get a chance, drop the town of Cambridge an email to thank them for allowing us to use the park at such short notice. – [email protected].
Numbat Cup racing returns on Sunday 25th July at Guildford Meadows. Pray for a good week of rain in the lead up to the race so that we can get down and dirty and experience the joy of mud.
If you want to catch a glimpse of the action from the Men’s Elite race, check out the view from the back of winner Tristan Nash’s bike.
