The Liquor Barons Numbat Cup Series has finished for another year, and what a fantastic season of racing it has been. Riders were treated to some proper cyclocross conditions under foot, while the weather was glorious and sunny overhead.

The fast and flowing course expertly designed by Ben Nash proved to be one of the favourites of the year. It was also the first event in 2026 where some mud made some of the turns particularly testing. Thanks for the volunteer course builders who were out early on Sunday morning setting the course up
Thank you to The Thirsty Mare for being on-hand all day to make sure riders and spectators were energised for a big day of racing. And an even bigger thank you to Stackart Photography for capturing some stunning shots of the slippery turns that took out more than a few riders.
It’s been a huge season of racing. There’s a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes with many hours spent planning and running our events. Our 2026 Numbat Cup Series saw 364 riders roll up to the start line. 2026 also saw WACX host Round 1 and Round 2 of the AusCycling Cyclo-cross National Series. Thank you to all riders, volunteers, spectators and supporters for creating the strongest cyclocross community in Australia.
There’s only one race remaining in the 2026 WACX season, so don’t miss your opportunity to get between the tape one more time.
