Results – 2026 Liquor Barons Numbat Cup Round 1

Earlier in the week the opening round of the 2026 Liquor Barons Numbat Cup Series was looking in doubt as Cyclone Narelle barrelled towards WA’s south-west. Fortunately Perth was spared a direct hit from the tropical storm and riders were greeted with sunny skies and mild conditions.

With a new electronic timing system brought in during the off-season, it was all hands on desk on race morning as our volunteers we worked with WASE Timing to  ensure all riders were checked in and handed the number plate they will be using for the rest of the season. Thanks for all the riders for arriving with plenty of time before their respective races.

Our volunteers checked in just under 200 riders. What a fantastic way to kick off the season.

The day’s premier events were taken out by Alayla Schmid and Mark Chong in the Womens Elite and Mens Elite competitions.

Round 2 of the Liquor Barons Numbat Cup Series heads to Carine Open Space on Sunday 19 April. Entries are open, so be sure to get your entry in by 6pm Friday 17 April 2026.
