Results – 2025 Liquor Barons Numbat Cup Round 4 – Ladies’ Day

Sunday 29 June 2025

Guildford Meadows, Caversham

Riders and spectators were treated to a sunny winter’s day at Round 4 of the 2025 Liquor Barons Numbat Cup Series. The stunning day also served as the perfect setting for WACX’s annual Ladies’ Day celebrations. We celebrated everything that the ladies of CX bring to our amazing community. Whether it be volunteering, cheering from the sidelines or pinning a number on to race their heart out – it’s great to see such strong female participation and competition in cyclocross.

Ladies’ Day festivities

We had a full schedule of events for the ladies. Thanks to current U23 National Cyclocross Champion, Zoe Davison, for running an ‘intro to CX’ skills session. Zoe’s excellent guidance helped to quell the nerves of the many riders to who took on a cyclocross race for the first time ever today. Congratulations to all those who participated.

A big thanks also needs to go out to Liquor Barons for the contribution of champagne to all the female competitors today, and to 4FIVE+ Athlete Collective for their generous contribution of cupcakes.

Vale Todd Ingraham

Some of you may have noticed black armbands on some riders competing today. Yesterday, WACX rider and all-round great guy, Todd Ingraham, was laid to rest in a celebration of his amazing life. Todd’s life was cut short at only 51 years of age when he was struck down with Motor Neurone Disease. Todd’s funeral was attended by hundreds and hundreds of people, including a huge contingent from the WA Police and Australian Army, with whom Todd served with for many years.

A empty spot was left on the front row of the Men’s Master B Grade start line today in a tribute to Todd. Todd participated in 48 WACX races and his race number, #137, will be retired in remembrance. His tenacity on the race course and friendly demeanour off-course will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, Todd.

Volunteers stepping up

Huge kudos to the huge number of volunteers that made today’s racing possible. In no particular order:

  • The huge number of people who came down at 8am on race day to help build the course. We can’t emphasise enough just how helpful this is. With a big crew of course builders in attendance we can put together a race circuit in just over 60 minutes. Thanks again!
  • Ben N and Andrew P for heading out to the race venue earlier this week to design and mark out the awesome course
  • Stu C for his tireless work behind the scenes and in the race timing tent, alongside Greg B
  • Bryan S for wrangling the local councils to secure our race venues
  • Tanya and Mark M for their work on the WACX socials, emails and website
  • Craig M, Jack R, Kirri M, Tanya B, Bernadette N and Rebecca S for their work in the rego tent
