Results – 2025 Liquor Barons Numbat Cup Round 2

Sunday 4 May 2025

Fishmarket Reserve, Guildford

Star Wars Day – May the Fourth. And what a day it was. With a bit of mud and water thrown into the mix, we got to enjoy some proper cyclocross conditions. It looks like the tricky and technical course took a few prisoners as we saw many muddied riders coming across the line.

Using the Force – our volunteers

We harp on about it a bit, but the volunteers really do make this all possible. We had a crew of course builders out from 8am – 10:30am getting the course ready for you to race on. Thats a lot of poles to hammer and tape to be run along both sides of a 2.5km course. Please consider coming down to help out.

We also had some new faces in the rego tent this week. Big thanks to Craig, Mark, Bobbi, Tanya, Gunther, Claudia and Dennis for giving up an hour of their day to help out. Their smiling faces were ready to greet each and every riders as they checked in for their races. Thank you team! The new faces in the rego tent made the day so much less stressful for the organising committee.

Thank again to Stuart Carson for race timing and Sam Bolton for race commissaire duties.

A big shout-out also needs to go out to Stacy from Stack Art Photography, Tony from Tony Lendrum Photography, Toby Brown and Mark Uzii for snapping some amazing photos throughout the day’s racing. Keep an eye on our socials for when these get posted. Well worth a look!

Up next – Lake Gwelup

The next round of the Liquor Barons Numbat Cup Series moves to the grassy and sands shores of Lake Gwelup. Get that training in now as it’s a leg-sapper. Not to be missed.

Once entries are open, we’ll post the link in the Calendar. If you’ve already registered for the entire Numbat Cup Series, you don’t need to do anything. Just remember to have your race plates fitted to your bike.
